A class determines the criteria used to judge an exhibit . The three main distinctions are between the classes Masters, Professional and Novice.

Master
This is the most difficult class. Judgement of exhibits is carried out by three jurors in the masters' section. Judgement is carried out to the strictest of criteria. For this reason it is only possible to become a World Taxidermy Champion in the MASTERS CLASS .
|
PROFESSIONAL
The 'Professional' class is for taxidermists looking to compete with other taxidermists to see just how good their work really is. The jury is responsible for judging exhibits. To be a competitor in the PROFESSIONAL CLASS you believe that you have not yet reached the pinnacle of your creative potential and are not yet a master of your craft.

NOVICE
NOVICE CLASS is for beginners, youths and children who have already gathered some experience within the world of taxidermy and who wish to gain more experience as exhibitors. The learning aspect is of greatest importance within this class. A detailed critique is provided by jurors, person-to-person if desired, in order to maximise the learning benefit. Nevertheless, it's always hard work at the beginning and many a top taxidermist started down with the other novices.
According to the rules it is only possible to gain a World Taxidermy Champion 2008 title in the MASTERS CLASS . This class is divided into 16 categories and is designed to determine the best taxidermists in the world.
