In 2008 Salzburg will play host to the World Taxidermy Championships. The show organisers managed to bring this event to Europe for the very first time.

The National Guild of Furriers and Taxidermists, has made it possible for the best of the best to compete against each other in three classes (Master, Professional, Novice).

The title 'World Taxidermy Champion 2008' will be awarded in 16 categories of the Masters class.

This top class competition features a unique variety of exhibits to be judged by a jury of the world's best taxidermists. A total of € 30,000 in prize money has been raised for the winners in the many and varied categories and in special competitions.
